I’ve been circling this idea for a while… the idea of starting something, of allowing the part of myself that researches endlessly, asks questions constantly, and lights up at the weird parts of Scripture. The ancient context. The supernatural worldview. The verses people tend to skip - I thrive on those.
I’m by no means a loud debater. I’m not polished in conversation under pressure. But I do love to write. I do love to research. And when I find something strange and beautiful in the Word, I want to share it. There is so much colour to be found in scripture, and I want to do the best I can in bringing out that colour and wonder for others to see.
That’s what this space is for.
Why now?
Honestly, because I felt the nudge again.
I sat in church yesterday hearing a message about opening your life and gifts to God, and I felt that familiar mix of longing and overwhelm. I’ve always had a layered bundle of interests: art, theology, the ancient world, writing, design, philosophy - and I never knew where to put it all.
So, this might not be the final answer, but it’s a beginning at least, and maybe it’ll evolve from here. I’ll let God lead the way!
What to expect
This space is called The Quiet Apologist, because that’s who I am - not loud, but layered. Not entirely certain all the time, but hungry.
If you're curious about:
The ancient context of the Bible
The supernatural worldview (divine council, Nephilim, angels, all of it)
Theology that doesn’t shy away from complexity
Weird verses that actually open doors
A slower, more reflective approach to Scripture
Doses of God humour (I firmly believe He has a brilliant sense of humour)
…then you might feel at home here.
I’ll be posting long-form essays or reflections - not weekly (life is so very full)!, but consistently. Maybe once or twice a month. I’ll do my very best to keep things fun and interesting.
Thanks for being here.
